Jeff Tweedy’s son Spencer has a blog. Its really good. Actually, its better written than this blog.
Should it be any surprised that the son of Wilco frontman would be well spoken? Seriously, check out his post about how he spent his 13th birthday playing drums with Wilco at Madison Square Gardens.
Lily’s new album ‘It’s not me, It’s you‘ is due to be released February 10. Here’s the video for her first single “The Fear”. She’s adorable. I love the black hair and the bangs. This reminds me of the dance scene in Annie. I love it!!!
Lily recently covered Britney Spears’ ‘Womanizer’. Mark Ronson debuted it on his radio show. Listen here.
now some of you may be wondering why i covered “womanizer”, simple really , i love britney and i love the song , it wasn’t my intention for it to have whizzed round the world like it has, mark ronson asked me for something no one had heard to play on his radio show and womanizer was the only song i had as an attachment on my blackberry and i couldn’t get home to send him anything else in time. i had asked him to talk all over it so it wouldn’t get ripped, but he didn’t , thanks mark for getting me in serious trouble with my record company.
Morrissey’s new album will be out in the U.S. February 17. Its called ‘Years of Refusal‘. As much as I love to see Moz holding a baby and looking fatherly, why did they put a tattoo on that poor baby’s forehead?
Here’s the track listing:
1. “That’s How People Grow Up”
2. “I’m Throwing My Arms Around Paris”
3. “Sorry Doesn’t Help”
4. “When Last I Spoke To Carol”
5. “Mama Lay Softly On The Riverbed”
6. “I’m OK By Myself”
7. “Something Is Squeezing My Skull”
8. “Black Cloud”
9. “You Were Good In Your Time”
10. “I’m Looking Forward To Going Back”
11. “I Was Bully, Do Not Forget Me”
12. “One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell”
Here are his North American tour dates. He’s not coming to the West Coast on this tour.

Most of you know that my sister recently moved to Texas. She has started a blog to write about her adventure of moving from San Diego to Austin and to keep in touch with everyone. Her blog is called Flip Flops to Cowboy Boots and you can check it out here.
Here’s a picture of Sommer’s little Rock Lobster…
Sommer and I also started a craft blog together, because that was something we really enjoyed doing together when she lived here. Its called Knights Who Say “Knit”. Knights because that was our maiden name. If you’re in a crafty mood, you can check us out here.
I went to Felt Club on Sunday. This is my third time going. Felt Club is the biggest, baddest indie craft fair of Southern California. It was held at the Shrine Auditorium which was much roomier than the Ukranian Hall where it was previously held.
I ran out of money in the first half hour, that’s how much good stuff was there. But the highlight of my day was meeting DJ Lance Rock (of Yo Gabba Gabba!). I was downright giddy.
Here are three of the best videos I’ve seen in a while. All three of them remind of being little and watching MTV. I love the corniness and sweetness of the low budget special effects. I picked the Vampire Weekend video because I just watched Pretty in Pink. Think Thriller meets all of the John Hughes movies. Enjoy.
Thao Nguyen played a couple of her songs for a Tiny Desk Concert at NPR back in September. Watch the video here. This video made my day.
Thao’s a really nice mix of indie folk and blues. There’s a nimbleness to her playing, which Thao has attributed to she spending her high school years working at her mom’s laundromat in a D.C. suburb, passing time between customers playing her acoustic. (She credits her intricate fingerpicking to “years of laundry oragami.”)
Her album We Brave Bee Stings and All is out on Kill Rock Stars.

I’ve been listening to Brazilian Cansei de Ser Sexy (CSS) a lot these last couple of days. Their songs have a synthpop electroclash sound to them. There name means ‘tired of being sexy’, which allegedly is a Beyoncé quote.
Here’s their new video for “Move“, which has been described as a modern electronic disco anthem…
